OFFENSIVE IMPROVEMENT
South Dakota Mines appears to have improved on the offensive side after their first two contests. The Hardrockers got a goal in each game, one from
Jayden Roque and the other from
Trent Ripley, but the improvement was more evident in taking 12 shots and six on goal in Sunday's matchup vs. William Jewell.
ONE AWAY
Hayden Jaramillo is one assist shy of sitting solo atop the all-time career leaderboard at South Dakota Mines with 10. Currently, he sits at nine with Andreas Skau. Jaramillo's role has shifted a bit into more of an attacker as he took four shots, with three coming on goal on Sunday.
FRESHMAN FRENCH
Ethan French also made a good impression on the attacking side on Sunday, taking four shots and having two come on goal in Sunday's contest against William Jewell.
IN GOAL
The combination of Daniel Frietas and
Charles Thompson have played all the minutes in goal with Frietas taking the first halves and Thompson in the second. Thompson kept William Jewell out of the net in the second half on Sunday.
SCOUTING TEXAS A&M INTERNATIONAL:
