BILLINGS, Mont. – The men and women from the South Dakota Mines golf team competed in a tournament hosted by MSU Billings at the Briarwood Golf Course in Billings on Monday and Tuesday.
The men took home a fourth-place finish as
Matai Naqica and
Tyler White led them, finishing in a tie for 11th (150) and 14th (152).
Braydon Jones,
Supawich Boonta and Alex Makarachuk shot 157, 159 and 161 to all finish in the top 30.
Everette Carrol played as an individual and shot a two-day 161.
On the women's side, the team finished in fifth place with
Kyra Allen and
Kenzie Schroeder each shooting 169 for a tie for 12th.
Addiley Lloyd,
Allison Kahler and
Marin Keller finished in the 21st, 22nd and 23rd spots after shooting 179, 180 and 183.
Taylor Ullen shot a 205 as an individual.
Both teams wrap up their fall season in a week as they head back to Billings to participate in the Yellowjacket Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 14 and 15.
