RAPID CITY, S.D. – The South Dakota Mines men's soccer team has a pair at home to open RMAC play this weekend as they host Westminster for senior day on Friday and then take on Colorado Mesa on Sunday. Those games are scheduled for 4:00 and 1:00.

OFFENSIVE IMPROVEMENT
South Dakota Mines appears to have improved on the offensive side this season.
Shots, shots on goal and goals are all up from where they were at this time in 2023.
ONE AWAY
Hayden Jaramillo is one assist shy of sitting solo atop the all-time career leaderboard at South Dakota Mines with 10. Currently, he sits at nine with Andreas Skau. Jaramillo's role has shifted a bit into more of an attacker as he is leading the team in shots and shot-on-goal percentage (min. 4 shots). His average of over one shot on goal per game is in the top 10 in the RMAC.
HE SHOOTS, HE SCORES
Jeff Wacker was able to get on the board for the Hardrockers last game as he took two shots, finding the back of the net on 1.
SCOUTING WESTMINSTER
Westminster is off to a solid start this year with four wins, two ties and two losses. '
They also came out victorious in their first RMAC matchup, defeating Regis on the road in its most recent contest.
They are seventh in scoring on the offensive side while they are fifth I goals allowed per game among the RMAC.
As a team, Westminster hits .493 percent of their shots on goal which is third in the conference.
Individually Jack Cardwell and Landon Wart are their biggest threats, averaging .5 and .38 goals per game to sit in third and sixth in the league.
SCOUTING COLORADO MESA
Colorado Mesa has played a pretty tough schedule especially recently, taking on two top 25 opponents. As a result, their record stands 3-4-1.
Despite the record, the Mavericks have been strong offensively, scoring 1.875 goals per game to come in third in the league.
Manuel Ponce Casas is the leader of that as he is second in the league in shots, averaging 2.5 per game, while the scoring itself has been spread out with 12 different players having scored goals.
LOOKING AHEAD
After this weekend, the Hardrockers are back on the road, heading to Fort Lewis and Adams State on Friday and Sunday, Oct. 11 and 13.
