RAPID CITY, S.D. – On Friday evening, the Rapid City Rush will honor the South Dakota Mines volleyball team from the 2023 season.
The volleyball team is coming off its best NCAA Division II season in history and will be honored by the Rapid City Rush during the first intermission of Friday's game.
Among its many accomplishments, the volleyball team set Division II program records in wins and conference wins. The team hosted the RMAC playoffs for the first time and advanced to the RMAC semifinals for the first time.
Alessandra Meoni became just the second Division II All-American for the program when she was selected as an AVCA All-America Honorable Mention.
Ivy Vindivich became the first Hardrocker to be named RMAC Freshman of the Year, while she also earned all-conference honors as a second team selection.
In addition, Hannah Benes and Kiley Metzger also earned All-Conference honors.
