COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. --- On Tuesday afternoon, the RMAC selected and announced its player of the week selections for soccer.
For the first time since 2017, a soccer player for South Dakota Mines was selected, with
Rider Grow being named RMAC Defensive Player of the Week.
It is well-earned for Grow as he has been stellar in the back line all season, but it wasn't all his defense that got him the award.
Against Adams State, the Hardrockers and Grizzlies were tied up in the 88th minute, until
Hayden Jaramillo found the head of
Rider Grow as he was streaking towards the goal on a set piece, beating the goalkeeper from Adams for a goal that sealed the Hardrockers' win and was Grow's first collegiate goal.
The full story from the RMAC is attached above.
The Hardrockers begin RMAC play this weekend, heading to Salt Lake City and Grand Junction for matchups with Westminster and Colorado Mesa on Friday and Sunday.
