COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- On Tuesday afternoon, the RMAC announced its 2023 volleyball preseason poll.
The RMAC preseason volleyball coaches' poll is voted on by the league's 15 head coaches, who are not allowed to vote for their own teams.
In the poll, South Dakota Mines received a total of 100 points, landing in eighth.
The Hardrockers are searching to build off a season in which they qualified for the RMAC playoffs in 2022.
The Hardrockers lost a total of six seniors to graduation, including
Jacey Koethe who finished first in the RMAC in points and was an All-RMAC First Team selection.
Coming back are
Kiley Metzger and
Paisley Gibson who both received All-Conference accolades in 2022.
The Hardrockers open the 2023 season with a pair of tournaments, first at Chadron, before heading to Spearfish for the Black Hills State tournament prior to beginning conference play on Sept. 14. The Hardrockers first home contest is Sept. 22.
