RAPID CITY, S.D. --- The South Dakota Mines soccer team finished up its' season on Sunday afternoon, taking on #5 CSU Pueblo.
On a cold day, the Hardrockers battled and played very well. CSU Pueblo cashed in on an early penalty kick in the 20th minute to take a 1-0 lead, but defensively, the Hardrockers were strong, going into half with the same deficit.
There were some tense moments in the second half, including a shot that bounced off the crossbar for the Hardrockers from
Ryan Gaughan, but in the end, they were unable to even the game, falling 1-0 in a battle.
This was the last match for the Hardrockers' fall season and it was a successful one in many areas despite finishing with 3 wins.
