LAKEWOOD, Colo. --- The South Dakota Mines soccer team finished its three-game road trip against Denver schools in Lakewood, Colorado against CCU.
The matchup was a well-contested one with the two teams battling it out throughout the game, but CCU took a lead midway through the first half, scoring a goal with Adrien Diez getting his first of the season, assisted by Shane Donnelly. This goal would be the lone score of the Half as the Cougars took the 1-0 lead into the half.
The game was a defensive battle with the two teams combining for just six shots on goal, but unfortunately for the Hardrockers, the lone goal in the first half would hold up and CCU would emerge with the 1-0 victory.
