RAPID CITY, S.D. --- A small group of South Dakota Mines track and field athletes made a Nebraska tour over the weekend competing at lasts chance opportunity meets at Concordia, Nebraska and Kearney Nebraska.

On the women's side, Jenna Sayler earned a provisional qualification during the women's hammer throw on Friday evening. She finished fourth in the event with a toss of 171-feet-5-inches and finished fourth in the event.  On Saturday she registered a mark of 170-6 to finish sixth. During Saturday's meet at UNK, she was ninth in the shot put (40-2.5) and 10^th in the hammer throw (143-4); and Sunday she yield a sixth-place finish in the hammer (170-6) and seventh in the shot put (42-11.5), which broke her own school record.

On the men's side, Jade Cass competed in the men's high jump at all three venues. He cleared a height of 6-5 during the second University of Kearney Twilight Meet on Sunday and earned fifth place in the event.

Westley Siebdrath also competed in all three events yielding his best results on Sunday in the hammer throw with a fourth-place showing and a toss of 179-10. He posted a measurement of 179-5 on Saturday to take seventh place and Friday's distance was 178-2 for 10^th place.

After no-heighting on Friday, Ty Nickerson earned one of his top marks of the season on Saturday and Sunday clearing a height of 15-10.5 each day. Saturday's mark gave him ninth, while the matching height on Sunday earned him second place and a provisional qualifying mark as well.
