1. Despite playing well of late, the Hardrockers have started 0-9 after a tough non-conference schedule and opening the RMAC schedule with 3 tough opponents.
2. The Hardrockers had a chance to defeat Regis in their previous road contest, leading by 8 points at half-time and defeating them in key statistical categories (shooting percentage, second chance points), and grabbed 39 rebounds as a team.
3. South Dakota Mines has shot the three ball well thus far, shooting 32.2% to sit as fourth-best in the conference.
4. Free throws have also been a strength, shooting them at the fifth-best mark in the RMAC at 69.3%.
5. The Hardrockers have also done a good job in protecting the rim as they are 4th in the conference, averaging 3.78 blocks per game.
