Women's Basketball Team Starts Slow, Falling to 0-2

CANYON, Texas --- The South Dakota Mines Women's Basketball team did not start the game well in the game against Texas Permian Basin Saturday afternoon leading to the loss.
In the first quarter, the Hardrockers were outscored 19-4 and were never able to come back despite winning the second quarter 13-10. To finish things off, the Hardrockers were outscored in the second half 34-19.

Notes
Piper Bauer and Makenna Bodette led the Rockers with 8 points each…Sydney Durtschee and Bodette grabbed 10 and 8 rebounds…The Hardrockers turned the ball over a total of 33 times.

Up Next
The Hardrockers play at home for the first time this season when they take on Northern State on Thursday before heading to Montana for a 2:00 p.m. matchup on Saturday against MSU Billings.
