COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- The South Dakota Mines men's basketball team found itself in a bit of a hole down the stretch and just ran out of time as the Hardrockers dropped a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference bout to the UCCS Mountain Lions, 67-55, Friday night in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

After leading by just one point at halftime, 31-30, the Mountain Lions broke the stalemate over the final 20 minutes, outscoring the visitors, 36-25, to steal the RMAC victory.

The 'Rockers shot 38 percent from the field Friday, converting 21-55 attempts, including a 10-28 performance from three-point range, and hit 3-4 from the foul line. UCCS made good on 23-61 shots to shoot 37.7 percent from the field. They were 10-29 from three-point land and converted 11-15 on free throws.

The Hardrockers came down with 35 rebounds, recorded 12 assists, two steals and three blocks. UCCS notched 14 assists, seven steals and four blocks.

Wilfred Dickson paced South Dakota Mines with 19 points, six rebounds, two assists, one blocked shot and one steal. Kolten Mortensen contributed with 12 points, six rebounds and a blocked shot. Brevin Walter added 11 markers, two rebounds, two assists and a steal.
