'Rockers Looking To Yield Big Results At Little Meet

Rapid City S.D. --- The South Dakota School of Mines men's and women's track and field teams will make the short trip up I 90 this Saturday to compete in the Black Hills State University Dave Little Alumni Mile at the Donald E. Young Center Fieldhouse.
The field events will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the track events will begin at 11:15 p.m.

This weekend's Invite will have the Hardrockers competing against Black Hills State, MSU Billings, Rocky Mountain College, Chadron State, and Dickinson State.

The Hardrockers competed in the Chadron State University Invite last Saturday in Chadron, NE.

At the CSU Invite, junior Erica Keebler pole vaulted 13-feet-3.5 inches to auto qualify for the NCAA Div. II Indoor Championship. Jayla Jarnagin looks to better her mark of 56-5.25 this Saturday in the weight throw.

Sophomore Travis Kleinsasser won the pole vault event while Jade Cass (Fr. High Jump) and Westley Siebdrath (R-SR. Weight Throw) each took second place.

After last week's meet, Keebler sits on top of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in the pole vault. Jarnagin (2nd) and Siebdrath (4th) are in the top five for the weight throw.
