BOULDER, Colo. --- The South Dakota School of Mines track team put up some solid marks during the University of Colorado Spring Invite this past weekend in Boulder, Colorado.
Erica Keeble set a new SD Mines school record during the women's pole vault Saturday after winning the event clearing a height of 3.81 meters. That mark improved her provisional qualification to the NCAA Div II Outdoor Championships and she is now ranked second in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Jonathon Murray also had a good weekend, taking sixth in the men's 400-meter dash clocking a time of 47.93. Murray is now ranked first in the RMAC. He was also a member of the 4x400 team that took third place Saturday in a time of 3:17.47. Korder Crospsey,
Andrew Ferris and
Kevin Ptak were also members of the squad. Murray was also on the men's 4x100 team, which took 41.94 and took sixth place.
Ferris also had a solid time in the men's 800 run, posting a fourth-place finish in a time of 1:54.22. That mark, after coversion, ranks him fourth in the RMAC standings.
Westley Siebdrath finished sixth in the men's hammer throw after a toss of 51.93 meters which now ranks him fourth on the conference performance list.
Erica Westerman bettered her own SD Mines school record during the women's 800 run, shaving almost two seconds off her previous best. Saturday she clocked a time of 2:19.70 for the Hardrocker all-time best mark and finished the event in 15th place.
Other Hardrockers highlights, include: Annale Janus took eighth in the 100 dash (12.80);
Kayla Gagen secured fifth place in the women's javelin (33.87 meters);
Tana Dahlberg finished ninth in the women's javelin (31.77);
