Kowsari Earns Spot On Men's Soccer All-RMAC Honorable Mention List

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- South Dakota School of Mines senior Alireza Kowsari was named to the All- Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Honorable Mention list for men's soccer announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Kowsari, a mid-fielder from Maple Grove, Minnesota,  is the lone senior on the Hardorcker roster. He started in nine games this season and played over 930 minutes.

Ali has been a great addition to our team. He brought experience as well as hard work to the program, said Hardrocker men's soccer head coach Ryan Thompson. "Often times, defenders don't get credit for the work that they put in. It is nice to see that the rest of the league saw what I saw in Ali and voted for him. He didn't put up the traditional stats that these awards are handed out for, but he did his job on the field and was a staple of our defensive line. Ali truly deserves to be recognized for his accomplishments."

The Hardrockers closed out the season last weekend and finished the year with a 3-13-1 overall record.
