RAPID CITY, S.D. -- The South Dakota School of Mines men's soccer team will head to Colorado for two Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matches.
On Friday night, the Hardrockers will face the MSU Denver Roadrunners. The Roadrunners are 1-3 in RMAC play and 3-5 overall. They have scored 13 goals on the season and are averaging 8.6 shots per game. Jerry Gutierrez leads the Roadrunners in goals scored with 3.
On Sunday afternoon, the Hardrockers will face the Colorado Christian Cougars in Lakewood, Colorado. The Cougars are 0-4 in conference play and 0-7 overall. They have posted 3 goals on the season and are averaging 5.4 shots per game. Two of the Cougars goals on the season came from freshman midfielder Zach Mercier.
The Hardrockers (1-5-1) look to carry their momentum from their draw against Adams State last Sunday into this weekend. The 'Rockers have posted 6 goals on the season and are averaging 8.1 shots per game.
