Rapid City, S.D. --- The South Dakota Mines men's and women's indoor track and field teams are back in action Friday for the Myrle Hanson Memorial Open hosted by Black Hills State in Spearfish, South Dakota.
The last time the team competed was nearly a month and a half ago when the Hardrockers went to Brookings, South Dakota for the SDSU Holiday Invite; as well as to Spearfish, for the Yellow Jacket Holiday Open.
Hardrockers to look out for this weekend

Erica Keeble in the pole vault -- Keeble won her that event in Spearfish with a height of 3.75m. This height was enough to get Keeble a provisional qualification for the National Meet.
-Jeremy Gonzalez and Korder Cropsey in the men's 60 meter -- Cropsey set his own personal record in this event on December 1
st in Spearfish, SD at the Yellow Jacket Holiday Open; Kevin Ptak in the men's 400 -- Ptak took 3
rd place in this event on December 1
st.
- Darren Nissen in the men's long jump -- the last event in Spearfish, Nissen took the top spot with a distance of 6.64 meter; Carter Kasuske in the triple jump -- Kasuske was also able to take 1
st place in this event during the team's first trip to Spearfish with a distance of 13.16m.
- Jared Wilson in the pole vault -- in his last meet, Wilson took 1
st place in his event with a height of 4.23m
- the men's 4x400 where Korder Cropsey, Jonathon Murray, Andrew Ferris and Kevin Ptak will be the guys to watch, in their last event, these four guys took 1
st place in a dominate fashion.
- Cody Allen is the man to beat in the throwing categories -- in his last competetion Allen finished 1
st in the shot put with a distance of 16.00m and 1
st in the weight throw with a distance of 15.02m. Both of those marks were personal records for Allen.
