Roadrunners Sneak Past Hardrockers, 1-0

RAPID CITY, S.D. --- The South Dakota School of Mines men's soccer team put forth a great effort Sunday morning during a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matchup against MSU Denver at Sioux Park Stadium in Rapid City, South Dakota, but the Roadrunners were able to squeak out a 1-0 result over the Hardrockers.

SD Mines had a great game-plan heading into the bout, taking the ball to MSU Denver and had some good opportunities to score goals. It was very give-and-take through the majority of the game.

The only goal came late in the first half when Roadrunner Yannick Schad stole a ball for the home team and advanced it to Bryan Amouyal who raced it 60 yards with two Hardrockers on his heels and was able to fire it past goalkeeper Kyle Daledovich for the only score of the game at the 40:08 mark.

The Hardrockers notched 10 total shots in the game, five were on goal while MSU Denver recorded seven shots, four on goal.

Hardrocker junior Justin Barkow paced his team with five shots, two on goal; junior Owen Winger tacked on two shots, one on goal; and freshman Brenton Brakke and senior Ian Debois each added one shot on goal for the game.

Daledovich suffered the loss in goal for SD Mines. He faced seven shots and came away with three saves.
