CHADRON, Neb. --- The South Dakota School of Mines women's volleyball team ran into Chadron State team Saturday night in Nebraska that is picking up steam during a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matchup where the Eagles defeated the Hardrockers, 3-1.
Chadron State, which has won three of their last four matches, defeated SD Mines, 25-12, 22-25, 25-23, 25-23. The 'Rockers closed out the bout with 45 kills on 142 attacks to go along with 41 assists, 59 digs and 11 total blocks. CSC ended the match with 59 kills on 158 attacks, 53 assists, 66 digs and five total blocks.
Individually for the Hardrockers,
Dana Thomson had a game-high 18 kills on 42 attacks and a hitting percentage of .286 to go along with 14 digs.
Hannah Stevenson tacked on nine kills on 25 attacks for a .280 hitting percentage; and sophomore
Rayleigh Peterson added seven kills on 24 attacks for a .125 hitting percentage.
SD Mines'
Shyann Bastian recorded 38 of the team's 41 assists while sophomore
Tana Dahlberg led the 'Rockers with 15 digs.
For the Eagles,
Aracely Hernandez led the team for the second night in a row, with 15 kills.
Shelby Schouten and
Brooke Gardner each had 11 kills and
Chandler Hageman had 10. Hageman led the team in blocks with four.

Three players had double digit digs for the Eagles.
Ashton Burditt recorded 22 and
Karli Noble had 11. Setter
Madison Webb finished with a double-double for the second night in a row with 45 assists and 14 digs.
