BISMARCK, N.D. --- The South Dakota School of Mines men's soccer team didn't get the result they were after as the Hardrockers traveled to Bismarck, North Dakota, Sunday afternoon to challenge their old Great Northwest Athletic Conference rivals – the University of Mary.
The 'Rockers went up against a talented and aggressive Marauder squad and a hostile crowd, falling, 2-0, in a non-conference matchup.
Mary scored a goal in each 45-minute period on offense while the defense held SD Mines to just one shot on goal in the entire 90 minutes of play.
For the game, the Hardrockers notched nine shots, one on goal. Senior
Cameron Thompson and junior
Justin Barkow led the way with two shots each while senior Ian Debois, sophomore Nick House, freshman
George Martinez and freshman
Jeremy Allgood were all credited with one. Sophomore
Garrett Bonzell earned the shot on goal.
Senior goalkeeper
Kyle Daledovich suffered the loss for SD Mines, playing all 90 minutes in goal and came up with two saves on the day.
