BILLINGS, Mont. --- The South Dakota School of Mines men's soccer team's comeback came up just short Friday afternoon as the Hardrockers fell to the University of Providence (Mont.) Argos, 2-1, during a tournament in Billings, Montana hosted by Rocky Mountain College.
The Argos took SD Mines by surprise with two first-period goals. The Hardrockers tightened up their defense in the final 45 minutes, and managed a goal from senior Ian Debois off an assist from sophomore
Sterling McKenzie, but just ran out of time to mount a comeback.
The Hardrockers finished the game with three shots, all on goal. Providence tallied eight shots, all on goal. Debois had one successful shot while junior
Owen Winger recorded two shots.
Senior
Kyle Daledovich played 84 minutes in goal where he notched six saves in the game.
