Hardrocker Soccer's 2018 Season Begins Sunday

Rapid City S.D.--- The South Dakota School of Mines men's soccer team is set to square off against Morningside College on Sunday  at 11 am. The game will be played at Sioux Park Stadium in Rapid City. This game will kick off the 2018 regular season for the Hardrockers, and will be the first home bout for any SD Mines fall sports program.

The men's soccer team finished the 2017 season with a 4-12-2 record, this being the best in the teams young history. The team looks to add to this record in 2018 by returning integral pieces to the squad, as well as adding a very talented freshman class.

"The boys have had a new competitive energy in training I've not seen in my previous years here. Our standard of training is higher than it's been and we are definitely asking more of ourselves in this 2018 season," said Hardrocker men's soccer head coach Andrew Conniff. "We have a new quality in possession that should change the way we are able to play and control the pace of a match."

RMAC play will come to Rapid City on Friday September 14th at 6 pm as the Hardrockers host Colorado School of Mines in the first game of the conference schedule. All home games will be played at Sioux Park Stadium in Rapid City.
