RAPID CITY, S.D. --- The South Dakota School of Mines women's volleyball team and the Chadron State Eagles squared off Friday night in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference mathup at the King Center in Rapid City, South Dakota.
It was a pretty intense battle, with SD Mines getting the upper hand in the first set, only to see the Eagles claw their way back in and came out on top, winning in a 3-1 tilt.
Chadron State defeated the Lady Hardrockers, 20-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-18. SD Mines finished with 41 kills on 203 attacks, tacked on 39 assists, 111 digs and a season high 13 total blocks. The Eagles finished with 60 kills on 211 attacks, 57 assists, 128 digs and one block.
SD Mines was led by senior
Anna Breidt with 14 kills on 43 attacks for a .233 hitting percentage and had seven assisted blocks and one solo. Freshman
Dana Thomson added 14 kills on 76 attacks and came up with 22 digs.

Shyann Bastian contributed with 17 assists while junior
Allie Boggs notched 16. Sophomore
Tana Dahlberg led the Hardrockers with 39 digs.
