DENVER, Colo. – The South Dakota School of Mines women's volleyball team played a solid match Saturday afternoon during a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference bout against Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, Colorado, but the Hardrockers couldn't get past the solid play of the Cougars.
CCU won the match, 3-0. The Cougars defeated the Hardrockers, 25-20, 25-18, 25-19. The 'Rockers closed out the contest with 26 kills on 107 attacks, tallied 25 assists, recorded 53 digs and four total blocks. CCU notched 42 kills on 118 attacks with 38 assists, 54 digs and six total blocks.
The 'Rockers were paced by freshman 
Dana Thomson with nine kills and five digs. Senior 
Anna Breidt added six kills and had a .357 hitting percentage while junior 
Hannah Stevenson and senior 
Darla Drenckhahn both added four kills.
Junior 
Allie Boggs put up 17 assists for the 'Rockers while sophomore 
Tana Dahlberg paced the team with 19 digs. Stevenson also tallied three assisted blocks in the match.
