DENVER, Colo. --- The South Dakota School of Mines volleyball team came up short during a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matchup Friday night against Regis University in Denver, Colo., falling to the Rangers, 3-0.
Regis defeated the Hardrockers, 25-11, 25-12, 25-13. SD Mines closed out the bout with 17 kills on 97 attacks, collected 16 assists and 44 digs. The Rangers finished the match with 45 kills on 100 attacks, tallied 40 assists, 57 digs and seven total blocks.
Individually for the Hardrockers, freshman
Dana Thomson posted eight kills and seven digs while junior
Hannah Stevenson added four kills and junior
Caryn Hazard contributed with three kills. Freshman
Shyann Bastian registered nine assists and six digs. Sophomore
Allie Brown and junior
Allie Boggs both had six digs in the match.
