LAKEWOOD, Colo. --- The South Dakota School of Mines men's soccer team and the Colorado Christian Cougars butted heads for 110 minutes Saturday night during a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matchup in Lakewood, Colo., but neither team could gain a foothold as the game ended in a stalemate, 0-0, tie after double overtime.
The Hardrockers finished the game with 16 total shots, three on goal, while the Cougars totaled five shots, two on goal.
Justin Barkow led the way for SD Mines with five total shots, one on goal while both
Ian DeBois and
Nicholas House were credited with one shot on goal. Brennan LaMoureaux had two attempts and
George Martinez,
Bradley Day,
Owen Winger,
Drew Urben,
Noah McKenziem
Connor Smoyer and
Adrian Lager all had one shot.
Kyle Daledovich spent all 110 minutes in goal where he faced five balls and came away with two saves.
The game was originally slated for a Sunday afternoon start, but due to looming weather, it was pushed up a day.
