ALAMOSA, Colo. --- The South Dakota School of Mines women's volleyball team came up short during a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference to Adams State Friday night in Alamosa, Colorado.
The Grizzlies were solid in a 3-1 decision. Adams State defeated the Hardrockers, 25-23, 17-25, 25-12, 25-17. SD Mines finished the match with 39 kills on 142 attacks, 36 assists, 57 digs and 10 total blocks. Adams State ended with 51 kills on 138 attacks, 49 assists, 70 digs and 10 total blocks.
Individually for the 'Rockers, freshman
Dana Thomson collected 11 kills on 42 attacks while senior
Anna Breidt also notched 11 kills on 33 attacks. Sophomore
Rayleigh Peterson contributed with eight kills.
Freshman setter
Shyann Bastian made good on 33 of the Hardrockers 36 assists. Senior
Alye Wagner led the Hardrockers with 13 digs and sophomore
Tana Dahlberg and junior
Makinze Maiden each tallied 12 digs. Junior
Hannah Stevenson played well at the net with three solo and three assisted blocks.
