DENVER, Colo. --- There was plenty of action in the second half of play Friday night during a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference men's soccer game between the South Dakota School of Mines Hardrockers and the MSU Denver Roadrunners.
The 'Rockers nearly pulled off a late rally, forcing overtime after trailing for a majority of the second half, but fell to the home team, 2-1, in golden goal overtime.
The Roadrunners took the advantage during the 49
th minute when MSUD's Jaydon Moreschini took an assist from Michael Longtine to break the nill-nill tied.
The 'Rockers clawed their way back in and knotted the game at the 68:20 mark when
Noah McKenzie tucked a ball into the lower right corner of the net off a free kick.
The score would remain 1-1 to end regulation. The Roadrunners broke the stalemate in the 94
th minute when Jacob Coking got behind SD Mines' defense and booted a ball in for the winning goal.
It was a great RMAC battle with the Hardrockers recording 12 total shots, four on goal while MSUD tallied 16 total shots, seven on goal.

Justin Barkow paced his team with four shots (one on goal); McKenzie finished with two shots (one on goal); Brennan LaMoreaux had one shot (one on goal);
Cameron Thompson had one shot (one on goal); while

Kyle Daledovich suffered the loss for the 'Rockers playing al 94:24 in goal where he faced 16 shots and came away with five saves. Â
