GOLDEN Colo. --- The South Dakota School of Mines had a tough matchup against the No. 23 Colorado School of Mines, falling to the Orediggers, 3-0, in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matchup Sunday afternoon in Golden, Colo.
The Hardrockers played a very competitive first half and held the nationally ranked to a 0-0 halftime score. The home team though broke through SD Mines' defense, scoring goals in the 49
th minute (John Haist) then in the 62
nd minute (Trevor Amann) and the final at the 84:33 mark (David Boldt).
It was a tough task for the visitors as Colorado Mines were the aggressor for the entire 90 minutes. The Orediggers recorded 2 shots in the game, seven were on goal. The Hardrockers had just six shots on the day with one on goal.

Kyle Daledovich suffered the loss for the 'Rockers but did manage four saves.
The loss drops SD Mines 3-6-2 on the season and 2-6 in conference play. SD Mines is back home on Friday taking on Colorado Mesa in a 1 p.m. game at Sioux Park Stadium in Rapid City.
