Kristina Burk

Kristina Burk is an athletic trainer who joined the Hardrocker Family after serving as the athletic trainer for the University of Minnesota-Duluth track and field program.
 
"I am excited to become a part of the Hardrocker community, and to be able to help our athletes perform to the best of their abilities," says Burk on her move to Rapid City.  "I am honored I was selected to join this community and cannot wait to leave my mark."
 
Burk has been very busy gaining valuable experience the past two years. Prior to working with UM-Duluth she worked for the College of Saint Scholastica, University of Wisconsin Superior, Duluth-area High Schools and gained clinical experience at St. Luke's Hospital Orthopedic Surgery and Essentia Health Medical Orthopedics.
 
"We are excited that Kristina joined the Hardrocker family," said Hardrocker Athletic Director Joel Lueken. "Her work ethic and experience will enhance our athletic training room."
 
Burk received her master's of Science in Athletic Training this past year while at the College of St. Scholastica.  She also served as an Athletic Training Intern at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida.

"Kristina brings an unique energy and enthusiasm to our Hardrocker Sports Medicine program," Assistant Athletic Director in charg of Sports Medicie Brian Hardy. "She comes from an engineering family, so she immediately understands both the commitment to academics as well as athletics that is needed to provide services to the student-athletes at SD Mines."
