Hardrocker Athletics Launches the Rise of the Rockers Scholarship Campaign
South Dakota Mines and Hardrocker Athletics announce the launch of the Rise of the Rockers Scholarship Campaign. This campaign is designed to strengthen the university's ability to recruit, retain, and reward exceptional scholar-athletes in one of the nation's most rigorous academic environments. At its core, the Rise of the Rockers Scholarship Campaign is about opportunity. For Hardrocker scholar-athletes, the two most critical priorities we can provide are scholarship support and a meaningful scholar-athlete experience. At South Dakota Mines, where a STEM-based education sets a higher academic bar, scholarship funding makes the single greatest difference in a scholar-athlete's ability to choose Mines, stay at Mines, and succeed at Mines.

Since 2021, challenges stemming from the COVID era, the absence of a comprehensive fundraising campaign, and the loss of major donors have impacted our ability to provide competitive scholarship support.Â
