Rockers Stay on the Road at UCCS and Colorado Christian

RAPID CITY, S.D. – South Dakota Mines Women's Basketball will stay on the road this weekend at UCCS and Colorado Christian.

Series History

UCCS holds an 11-8 all-time record over South Dakota Mines dating back to 2016. They have won the last four games, including two in Colorado Springs. The last Hardrockers win was an 80-72 win on Dec. 2, 2022, at the King Center.

The Hardrockers are 11-6 against Colorado Christian. They defeated the Cougars 63-60 at the King Center on Dec. 11, 2025. Savea Mansfield put up 21 points and Morning Grace Spotted Bear recorded a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

About the Mountain Lions

UCCS is 12-8 overall and 8-4 in the RMAC so far this season. After defeating Western Colorado in overtime last Thursday, they fell to #7 Colorado Mesa on Saturday. They are 2-2 in their last four games but have won five straight games at home.

Amyah Moore Allen leads the team and is third in the RMAC with 19.3 points per game this season. Ayianna Johnson is averaging 13.5 points and 6.6 rebounds per game this season. The Mountain Lions' 43.9 field goal percentage ranks second in the RMAC.

About the Cougars

Colorado Christian comes into the weekend 5-15 overall and 2-10 in the RMAC. They have lost seven of their last eight games, with the lone win on Jan. 29 at Westminster. Their last win at home was an 80-36 victory over Nelson on Jan. 3.

Jordon Heckert leads the Cougars with 12.4 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game. She was 3-for-13 from the field against the Hardrockers on Dec. 11. CCU's 74.6 free throw percentage ranks fourth in the RMAC so far this season.

About the Hardrockers

South Dakota Mines is 7-13 overall and 5-7 in the RMAC going into the weekend. They are coming off a 1-1 split last weekend as they defeated Chadron State 76-59 on Thursday but fell at Black Hills State 41-58 on Saturday. In the win against the Eagles, Addison Miranda put up a season-high 24 points on 8-for-13 field goal shooting.

Savea Mansfield leads the team and is eighth in the RMAC with 17.4 points per game. Morning Grace Spotted Bear is averaging 13.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per game this season. The Hardrockers 0.95 assists/turnover ratio is third in the RMAC, while their 31.1 three-point percentage is fifth.
