RAPID CITY, S.D. – South Dakota Mines Volleyball has earned their 10th home win for the first time since 1995 following a 3-0 sweep of New Mexico Highlands in the RMAC Power Pod.

The Hardrockers have earned their sixth straight victory after defeating New Mexico Highlands 3-0 at home.

In the first set, the Rockers defeated the Cowgirls 25-21. Both teams went back-and-forth until the Hardrockers went on a 7-1 run to go up 23-18. An attack error from New Mexico Highlands would give the Rockers a 25-21 victory.

South Dakota Mines won the second set 25-22 following a comeback midway through the set. With a 14-8 deficit, the Hardrockers recorded an 8-0 run to go up 16-14. In that run, the Rockers had five kills and Allison Nowak had one service ace and caused two bad sets. Later with a 22-22 tie, a kill and two straight blocks gave the Rockers a 25-22 win.

The Hardrockers dominated the third set, winning 25-14 over the Cowgirls. An early 7-3 lead would turn into a 13-4 advantage midway through the set. The Rockers held that lead and a service error gave them a 25-14 victory.

Lexi Glendenning put up 10 kills with a .556 hitting percentage and six digs. Joy Aburto had 10 kills and four digs, while Cate Warren put up nine kills, three digs and two blocks. Maria Bouman recorded seven kills, six blocks, three digs and one ace.
