STARTS WITH DEFENSE
The Hardrockers have played strong defense all season, allowing teams to score just 67.8 points per game, best in the RMAC and top 40 NCAA Division II.
BALL HANDLING
South Dakota Mines also does not turn the ball over, averaging 11.6 turnovers per game, which is the best in the RMAC.
TERRIFIC TRE
Tre Dowdell continues to improve as the season progresses. He now leads the team with 12.2 points per game.
He has scored in double figures in nine of his last 11 contests, averaging 13 points per contest during that stretch.
SENIOR LEADER
Keagen Smith continues to lead the team as a senior and plays well. He is the only other Hardrocker in double figures but leads the team in rebounding with 5.4 per game.
SCOUTING UCCS
UCCS is having a strong season. They are 7-5 in RMAC play and 13-7 overall.
They take care of the ball and defend well, as they are third in the RMAC in Assist/Turnover ratio (1.18).
They also average 3.7 blocks per game, which is second in the league.
William Becker is one of the better players in the RMAC. He leads the conference in blocks and rebounds and averages 15.5 points per game.
SCOUTING CCU
Colorado Christian is among the many RMAC teams with 4-8 or 5-7 conference records. They are 4-8 with a 4-16 overall record.
CCU is a strong rebounding team. Their rebounding margin is +3.1, third best in conference play.
Promise Idiaru is a force on the defensive side, averaging 1.15 blocks per game, which is among the top five in the league.
Bradley Land is their top scorer, averaging 15.6 per game, but he does it exceptionally efficiently, hitting 51.1% of his shots.

The Hardrockers will then embark on a road trip, as Regis and MSU Denver are next up on Feb. 13 and 15.
