DENVER, Colo. – The Hardrocker men's golf team opened its season at Bear Creek Golf Course, hosted by Colorado School of Mines in a tournament that included a total of seven teams.
South Dakota Mines best round was the second round on Monday afternoon when they shot a combined +29. Over the three rounds, the team combined to shoot +97.
Individually, South Dakota Mines was led by a freshman playing in his first tournament with
Matai Naqica finishing in the top 20 at +12. Not too far behind him was
Tyler White who finished in a tie for 23rd, shooting a +15.
Braydon Jones,
Supawich Boonta and
Everette Carroll wrapped up the team, shooting +31, +39 and +55, while
Alex Makarchuk, playing as an individual hit +36.
Both the men and women are back in action next week, as they host the Hardrocker Fall Invite at the Golf Club at Red Rock on Monday and Tuesday.
