BOULDER CITY, Nev. --- The South Dakota Mines golf programs played round 2 of the RMAC Championships on Monday.
There was no movement out of the men's team as they still sit in ninth.
Joseph Vincent had another good day, shooting a 72 and is sitting in the top-20 at T18.
Roger Nakagawa is also in the top-40 after shooting a 77 in round 2. Bradyon Jones and
Jake Francis sit in 40th and 42nd, while
Carson McDaniel is in 45th after shooting 78.
The women shot a very similar score to what they did in round one, improving by one stroke to shoot a 315. They're 36 holes set a new school record for low 36 holes. As a team, they sit in 10th after two rounds, but are still within striking distance of a few teams in front of them with a good third round.
Annika Schooler and
Rianna Garland led the team with matching scores of 76 in round 2. Schooler is tied for 13th while Garland is in a tie for 22nd.
Lora Ortega shot an 83, while
Mya Maxwell hit an 80 and
Jessalyn Shipp finished out the squad, shooting a 90.
On the third and final day, South Dakota Mines' men will tee off at 8:00 a.m. MT while the women will get started at 8:30 a.m.
