BOULDER CITY, Nev. --- The South Dakota Mines golf programs sent their teams to Nevada to play the first round of the RMAC Championships on Sunday.

With two days of play to go, the Hardrockers had some success.

The men sit in ninth currently but are just seven strokes back of the fifth-place team at the end of round 1.
Joseph Vincent led the group, shooting a 71 to sit just outside of the top-10 at 12. The other two golfers in the top-30 are
Roger Nakagawa and recent RMAC Summit Award winner
Braydon Jones, who both shot 75 to sit in a tie at 30, with teammate
Jake Francis just one stroke behind.
Carson McDaniel shot an 83 to wrap up the men.

The women are currently in eighth out of twelve teams. They are also in striking distance of a few teams in front of them with the fifth-place team holding a nine-stroke advantage.
Annika Schooler (T15),
Lora Ortega (T24), and
Rianna Garland (T27) also sit in the top-30 after shooting 75, 78, and 79 on the par 72 course.
Mya Maxwell and
Jessalyn Shipp shot 84 and 89 in their round 1.

The South Dakota Mines men will tee of their round 2 tomorrow morning at 12:00 p.m. MT, while the women will begin with
Jessalyn Shipp teeing off at 1:15.
