COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- On Wednesday afternoon, the RMAC selected and announced its All-Conference selections for men's basketball.
 
Brevin Walter, Kolten Mortensen, and Alejandro Rama all earned recognition with Walter being named to the second team, while Mortensen and Rama were named honorable mention.
 
Brevin Walter had a great season, as he was one of the top scorers in the conference and at the NCAA Division II level. Walter's 20.3 points per game ranked him fourth in the RMAC and 29th at the NCAA Division II level. Walter became a 1,000-point scorer, moved up to #16 on the South Dakota Mines all-time scoring list, and set the school record for points in a game with 45 against MSU Denver on Dec. 10. Free throw shooting was a strength as well, as he hit 84.5% of his attempts from the charity stripe.
 
Mortensen capped his career with a third straight all-conference honorable mention honor. His overall numbers were slightly down from previous years, averaging 12.7 points per game, but his efficiency was not. He hit 44.4% of his three-point shots and 49.8% from the field, numbers good for second and 12th-best in the conference. Mortensen also finished the season 13th in the RMAC in rebounding, averaging 5.8 per game, including a season-high 14 in the last game of the year against Colorado Christian on Feb. 25.
 
Rama, who did not qualify as a scorer in the RMAC leaderboard due to not playing the first semester and not playing enough games, would have been the fifth highest on the list, as he averaged 19.6 points per game. Rama also did it efficiently, hitting 49.4% of his shots from the field and 44.3% of his shots from beyond the three-point line. Those percentages would have been good for 13th and third-best in the RMAC. Rama also surpassed the 1,000-point mark for his career in the final game of the regular season.
