Men's Basketball Hopes to End Losing Streak with Road Pair

RAPID CITY, S.D. --- On Friday and Saturday, the Hardrocker men's basketball team will head to Colorado, taking on Regis and UCCS in hopes of ending a six-game losing streak.  
 
Series History
vs. Regis
  • Since their first meeting in 2015, the Hardrockers have won two of 13 matchups with Regis.
  • Both of the Hardrocker wins have come in recent years, winning two of the last four matchups.
  • Most recently, the Hardrockers were victorious on 12/3/22, winning, 83-82 in Rapid City.
  • In that game, the Hardrockers were led by Brevin Walter who scored 24 points.
vs. UCCS
  • UCCS and the Hardrockers have met 15 times.
  • The Mountain Lions have a 10-5 advantage in those matchups.
  • Currently, UCCS is on a three-game winning streak.

  • UCCS is 13-10 on the season.
  • They are fighting for an RMAC playoff spot, but like the Hardrockers, have lost six straight, but are 7-9 in RMAC play.
  • Offensively, UCCS averages 78.4 points per game, 4th in the RMAC.
  • From three-point range, they hit 36.3%, sixth in the conference.
  • Jon'il Fugett averages 14.8 points per game to lead the Mountain Lions.
  • William Becker is one of the top rebounders in the RMAC, averaging 8.9 per game.
