RAPID CITY, S.D. --- The men's basketball team is finishing up its home regular season schedule this weekend as they take on Adams State and Fort Lewis on Friday and Saturday. Tip-off for each game is scheduled for 5:30 on Friday and 7:30 Saturday with senior night also taking place shortly before the game.

Series History
vs. Adams State

• In the previous matchups, Adams State is holding a 6-4 lead since 2013.
• South Dakota Mines has the control recently, however, as Adams State won the first six matchups, but the Hardrockers have a four-game winning streak.
• At the King Center, the Hardrockers are 2-3.
• In the matchup earlier this season, the Hardrockers won in Alamosa, 91-81.
• Brevin Walter, Alejandro Rama, and Kolten Mortensen were significant factors in the earlier matchup, scoring 26, 22, and 17 points.

vs. Fort Lewis

• In 8 matchups since 2016, Fort Lewis has a 5-3 advantage.

Adams State

• Defense is another story. They are the worst in the RMAC, giving up 82.5 points per game.
• They reside in the top half of the conference, hitting 36.1% of their three-point attempts.
• Kolby Walker leads their offensive attack, averaging 14 points per game.
• Isaiah Sampson blocks 1.1 shots per game, sitting in a tie for third in the conference.

Fort Lewis

• Fort Lewis came in at #9/11 (National Association of Basketball Coaches/DII College Sports Communicators Media) in the most recent Division II men's basketball polls thanks to their great season thus far.
• They are 22-2 on the season, 16-2 in RMAC play, having won 7 straight and coming off a huge win over fellow top-10 opponent, Black Hills State, overtaking them for the #1 seed in the RMAC as of now.
• The Skyhwaks' offense is a juggernaut as they are #1 in the conference in scoring (#14 NCAA Division II), #5 in field goal percentage, #4 in three-point percentage, and #3 in free throw percentage.
• Akuel Kot is dynamic and averages 24.5 points per game to lead the RMAC and come in second at the NCAA Division II level.
