RAPID CITY, S.D. --- The South Dakota Mines Men's basketball team has announced 5 signings for the 2022 class with head coach Eric Glenn, announcing the additions of James Dixon, Jasper Reinalda, Jaka Prevodnik, Abel Hutchinson, and Kyle Harris
"This class is exciting for our program," said Glenn. "There is a ton of talent coming in along with some experience. We are excited about the future of these 5 student-athletes and what they will bring to Hardrocker basketball."

Jasper Reinalda is a transfer from Division I Montana State University and brings a ton of size, listed at 7'3" 290 pounds. He redshirted in his lone year at MSU but was a two-year high school starter, averaging 15.5 points, 12.6 rebounds and almost 5 blocks a game at Corvallis High School. Prior to enrolling at MSU, he spent a year at Donar academy in the Netherlands as a member of their U-22 squad.

"Jasper obviously brings a lot of size," said Coach Glenn. "We have been looking at the best ways to utilize that and we think he'll be able to make a big difference when he's on the court."

Jaka Prevodnik will be a sophomore after spending his first collegiate season at Division I University of Hawai'i at Manoa. The guard played limited minutes in nine games for the Rainbows, also earning the team's scholar-athlete award.
"Jaka is a student-athlete who will add to the team by being able to space the floor and knock down shots," said Glenn.

Abel Hutchinson out of Bentonville, Arkansas is another guard and is heading into his freshman season. At Bentonville High School he was part of a state tournament team in his senior season, a team that also won their conference championship, going 14-0 in his junior year. He averaged 10.3 points per game and 5.6 rebounds per game in his senior year.

Coach Glenn spoke of Abel, saying "he is a player who adds length and can guard multiple positions, something that you can never have too much of."

Kyle Harris hails from Phoenix, Arizona and is another player who can play and defend multiple spots. After graduating from Boulder Creek High School, he spent time at Phoenix College, starting in 28 games and playing in 30 during the 2021-22 season. He shot 45.8 percent from the field and 37.1 percent from three while chipping in 8.7 points per game.

"Kyle is another experienced player that we have high hopes for," said Glenn. He is a multi-positional defender and can help space the floor."

The fifth and final add for the 2022 season is a local product from Rapid City. Charles Christensen graduated from Rapid City Stevens and is a long-lengthy athlete.

"Charles is long and athletic, with the versatility to play and defend different spots. "He can hit the three, and work inside and we're excited to see how he develops in his time as a Hardrocker."

Each of the 5 student-athletes will join the program for fall camp for the 2022 season.
