RAPID CITY, S.D. --- After a competitive first half, Black Hills State started the second half with momentum and the Hardrockers fell by double-digits.
How It Happened –
The Hardrockers and Yellowjackets went back and forth through the early part of the first half and neither team got out to a large lead. Black Hills State, led by Sindou Cisse held a 25-20 lead with just over 7-minutes to play in the first half.
Alejandro Rama would score 5 in a row to briefly tie the game at 30.
Early in the second half, Black Hills State scored 8 straight, getting out to a 44-35 lead. A Joel Scott dunk pushed their lead to 46-36, and a timeout. Cisse and Scott would continue to lead the Yellowjackets, going up 20, 65-45 with 7 minutes to play. South Dakota Mines wasn't done yet, scoring 7 unanswered, cutting the deficit to 67-54 but the Hardrockers ran out of time, falling 79-65.
