SIOUX FALLS, S.D. --- The Hardrocker Men's Basketball team played their first game in the east/west challenge on Friday morning, falling to Augustana.
How It Happened – The first half was not a good shooting half for either team, with South Dakota Mines hitting 12-32 and Augustana hitting 14-39. The Vikings would go into the locker room with a 7-point lead thanks to 12 Hardrocker turnovers and 15 points off of them.
The second half was a battle, with the Hardrockers cutting it to within a couple of possesions, several times, including going on a 10-0 run, however the Hardrockers were not able to keep it up and Augustana closed the game on an 18-0 run, pulling away late for the 82-60 defeat.

Brevin Walter added 14 points and five rebounds…
Kolton Frugoli led the team with 10 rebounds and 7 assists.
Up Next – South Dakota Mines finishes up the east/west challenge on Saturday afternoon, taking on MSU Moorhead at noon.
