COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. --- On Monday afternoon, the RMAC selected and announced its' player of the week selections for men's basketball
Alejandro Rama was selected by the schools around the league as the honoree for RMAC Offensive Player of the Week.
Rama has been a force offensively over the past week, leading the Hardrockers to two wins this week and 3-in-a-row overall. In the game against Fort Lewis on Tuesday, Rama scored 24 points on 11-13 shooting, adding 6 rebounds and 5 assists. It's harder to get much better than that, but he managed to pull it off, scoring 29 on Saturday against CSU Pueblo in a come-from-behind victory. Rama shot 11-16 in that contest, including hitting 6-9 from three-point range, adding 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Rama turned the ball over just one time in the two games.
On the season Rama is all over the conference leaderboard averaging nearly 15 points per game, sitting just outside the top-10. Rama also sits in 17th in rebounding, 14th in field goal percentage, 11th in assists, 13th in steals, and 1st in 3-point percentage (10th in NCAA).
