RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Westminster College men's soccer team was able to find a way through the solid defense of South Dakota Mines to score a goal in both the first and second half as the Griffins defeated the Hardrockers, 2-0, Friday night during a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference match up at Dakota Fields in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Max Bingman scored the first goal of the evening during the 25
th minute unassisted while Armin Hasanovic netted the second-half goal at the 46:37 mark.
The Griffins finished the game with 13 total shots, nine on goal while South Dakota Mines notched eight shots, five on goal.
For the 'Rockers
Garrett Cole had three shots on goal, while
Brennan Lamoreaux and
Evan McConnell both contributed with one shot on goal.
Tyler Ring got the start in goal for SDM where he faced 13 shots and came jup with six saves but suffered the loss.
