OWASSO, Okla. --- After one round of play, The South Dakota Mines men's golf team find themselves in seventh place with 320 strokes during the Hillcat Classic, hosted by Rogers State University at Bailey Ranch Golf Course in Owasso, Oklahoma.
 
Sioux Falls University lead after the first round with 301, Missouri Southern is second with 302 and Rogers State is third with 305.
 
" We struggled today," said Hardrocker men's golf head coach Luke Wheeler. "It was not ideal conditions but that is no excuse. We need to come out tomorrow and play the way we know how to play."
 
Most of the field was able to get their second round in Monday, but some of the golfers were unable to finish due to darkness.
 
The tournament will continue Tuesday with the completion of the second round and then the third and final round will tee off at 9:30 a.m.
