RAPID CITY, S.D. – The South Dakota Mines women's volleyball team will play host to the No. 17 ranked Regis Rangers Friday night in the Hardrockers' home opener during a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matchup at the King Center in Rapid City, South Dakota.
The Hardrockers are still looking for their first win on the young season, heading into the bout with an 0-2 overall record and 0-1 in the conference. They fell to Chadron to open the season back on Jan. 29, and then came up short to No. 16 Colorado School of Mines last Sunday in Golden, Colorado.

Claire Smith who is averaging 2.67 kills per set this season and has a hitting percentage of .217 and
Victoria Zagorski has a hitting percentage of .308.
Shyann Bastian is doing a great job as SDM's primary setter and is averaging 5.5 aps. On the defensive end,
Anna Thomas, Smith and Bastian are all averaging around 2 digs per set.
Regis comes to town with a 1-2 overall record and 1-1 mark in the conference. The Rangers dropped matches to Colorado Mesa and CSU Pueblo before defeating UCCS on Feb. 7.
Rachel Siurek lead the team with a .200 hitting percentage, followed by Haliie Theis with a .170 and Caitlyn Burroway has a .155.
