Hardrockers Back On The Radio

RAPID CITY, S.D. --- After a six-season hiatus, the South Dakota Mines men's and women's basketball games will be back on the radio for the 2021-22 seasons on News Radio KOTA 100.7 FM and 1380 AM.

All the Hardrocker hoops action will be brought to you by Tom Rudebusch, the voice of Hardrocker Athletics. Rudebusch has been the play-by-play commentator for the Hardrockers for the past 40 years.

"The first thing we wanted to do when we formed a partnership with News Radio KOTA and Riverfront Broadcasting was to get our basketball games back on the radio," said Brad Blume, Associate Athletic Director for Tickets and Marketing. "It is such a great fit for the Hardrockers, KOTA Radio and the voice of the Hardrocker – Tom Rudebusch. It's truly a win-win-win."

The first basketball broadcast starts on Friday as the Hardrocker men play host to Texas A&M – Kingsville at the King Center in a 7 p.m. tipoff.

Rudebusch will also still be commentating for the free stream broadcasts provided by the Hardrocker Athletics Communication Office that air on the Hardrocker Network.

"We want the Hardrockers to be broadcast on every platform available," Blume said. "I am sure the fan will enjoying having another option to catch all the basketball action."
