RAPID CITY, S.D. --- After two nail-biting last-second bouts against its biggest rivals, the South Dakota Mines men's basketball team looks to take its final road trip to Colorado as the Hardrockers will square off with the UCCS Mountain Lions Friday night in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The Hardrockers defeated both Chadron State (60-59, OT) and Black Hills State (79-78) in thrilling victories to improve SDM's overall and conference record to 6-4. The 'Rockers have now won five of their last six games.

The 'Rockers are scoring 66.7 ppg and allowing 71.9 ppg. They are shooting 45 percent from the field and making good on three-pointers 32 percent of the time.

Individually, the 'Rockers are led by Wilfred Dickson who is averaging 13.4 ppg while Alejandro Rama is contributing with 11.3 ppg and Kolten Mortensen adds 10.4 ppg. Mortensen also leads SDM in rebounding, coming down with 7.9 rpg.

The Mountain Lions enter Friday's matchup with a 3-4 RMAC and overall record. Most recently, UCCS fell to Regis University on Tuesday night (74-69) after collecting road wins against CSU Pueblo (73-67) and MSU Denver (86-75).

As a team, UCCS is cashing in for 71.3 ppg and allowing teams to put up 70.3 ppg. Individually, Alijah Comithier leads the Mountain Lions scoring attack with 20.4 ppg, DaRaun Clark contributes with 14.2 ppg and Parker Gaddis tacks on 8.0 ppg. William Becker leads the team in rebounding, bringing down 7.1 rpg.
