RAPID CITY, S.D. --- The South Dakota Mines football team fell to the Chadron State College Eagles, 37-22, Saturday night on Dunham Field at O'Harra Stadium.
After a stalemate first half in which Chadron State led, 9-3, due mainly to a strong cross wind sweeping across the stadium, the second half allowed fans to see what they are more accustomed to when it comes to a Hardrockers vs. Eagles showdown as a combined 47 points were registered on the scoreboard.
After a scoreless first quarter, South Dakota Mines drew first blood with a 28-yard field goal courtesy of
Enis Sefa at the 14:57 mark of the second quarter.
